3-month old kittens desparately in need of homes.

My husband has an idiot friend whom we'd both like to smack. Basically he took 3 kittens in, but he is an extremely irresponsible person. He neglected the kittens, fed them wrong food and did not give them clean litter etc, causing them to mess on his roommates' stuff. A few weeks ago, he asked us to take him to SARA , but I told him that I knew for a fact that they were full at the moment and that he should call ahead and go on their waiting list. Of course, he never did that. We can't take in any more cats or kittens either because we have 10 and that's a big enough responsibility for us.

The following week, his roommate asked him to leave the apartment, as he was giving back the apartment and leaving the island for a month. Idiot friend left, but left the 3 kittens there. Roommate, hubby, and I tried finding homes for the kittens because the absolute last day he was going to be in that apartment was on a Saturday. Idiot friend took the kittens back....but since he had no place to stay, he was sleeping in the pub that he manages...and keeping the kittens there.

Hubby talked to him today and idiot friend is basically talking about dumping them. I don't know why he got kittens in the first place because he can't even take care of himself, let alone a litter of kittens.

I have never seen the kittens but hubby has seen them once. He says they are black/white and are about 3 months old. I'm going to ask him to take photos and I'll post them up. Thanks for listening.

Thanks a million, I should have photos within the next few days. It just burns me that people that people that can't even manage their own life could possibly think they could look after 3 kittens. If we weren't brimming with cats already, we would take them in ourselves until they could be rehomed.

Well, guess what? Yes, the kittens will be arriving at our apartment tonight. The idiot friend called last night, and again today and told my DH that he was going to 'throw them out on the street' tonight because he had no place to stay. So we got twisted into taking them in anyway.....so at least I can put some photos up tomorrow. He just contradicts himself..the guy says he is getting an apartment this week and will take them back, but he has been threatening to dump them for the past 2 weeks so that gives me the impression that it was always his inention of dumping the kittens on us. I'm going to keep them in one of the spare rooms for the time being. It's not nice that he basically blackmailed us into it, but he already did dump them once at the other apartment so we believe he really would.

What disgusting behaviour. This guy shouldn´t be allowed to breed just in case he might pass down his evil genes to any offspring! Grrr.

But seriously, the kittens are better off with you than with him, if he´s behaving like that. Don´t feel like being blackmailed, just feel like you are actually saving these kittens from a life of fear and without love if they stayed with him.

I hope you can rehome them, but I got the feeling that you will be in love in no time and don´t wanna give them away! ;)

That's what I'm afraid of..between us we have more than enough love to go around, but we just don't have the finances or space. I have made the room up for them, and it will probably be the first proper accomodation they've had. I think there might be 1 person interested in taking a kitten but if we are unable to do it on our own, maybe someone here will fall in love with them (once I post the pics :P)

If our lottery numbers come up this week, they can stay XD
